As a 3rd grade teacher
at Frankford Township School, I consider myself to be
a very lucky person. Not only am I able to work in the
beautiful Sussex County area, but I also get to spend my
days surrounded by the excellent students and teachers at
Frankford. Together, we go on many wonderful learning
adventures, discuss new ideas, and discover all sorts of
things. I am very proud to be a Frankford Bulldog and
am also proud of all the work I completed to become a
teacher.
The neatest thing about becoming a teacher
is that I got to spend a lot of extra time as a student!
After graduating high school, I went to college at Virginia
Tech where I majored in human development and human
services. Mainly, I learned a lot about the families
and populations of our world and ways in which we can help
different people living today. While in Virginia, I
also became a very big Virginia Tech Hokies fan. You
can check out our mascot, the Hokie Bird, lounging below!
After college, I decided to complete a Masters in Education
at Seton Hall University. It was there that I learned
what it means to be a teacher and became certified as an
elementary teacher in New Jersey.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time
outdoors and taking time to read quietly. During the
summer, I work at a day camp and play for the camp softball
team in the evenings. We just won our fifth
championship this past summer! When not playing
sports, I am often rooting on my favorite teams. My
two favorites are the Virginia Tech Hokies and New York Mets.
Sorry Yankee fans!
